Hello there! I’m glad you’re here.

The author in Joshua Tree National Park, 2019

This seems like a strange time to be publishing my first post. The pressure has mounted. We’ve reached a boiling point.

But, for the time being, the earth still spins and the seasons still change.

We still need food to eat and clothing to wear and homes in which to live. With all that and more in mind, Mother Nature needs us humans to cool it.

How can we care for each other, the earth, and ourselves, while living our fullest lives? How can we, as a community of earthlings, be conscious of the effects our consumption has on people and planet? Environmental justice, social justice, and racial justice are intertwined.

Join me on my quest to be more thoughtful about consumption. We each have a choice and a voice — and our choices matter.
